Area of Focus: Shoulder & Elbow
Type II SLAP lesions occur when a traumatic injury to the shoulder causes the detachment of the glenoid rim from the anchor point of the biceps-tendon and the superior labrum. Reattaching the biceps-anchor is an important arthroscopic skill that is extremely technique-dependent. Introduces a new technique using a single 4 mm suture anchor loaded with two strands of suture. The step-by-step demonstration shows the inside and outside views of the technique.
